I have had my car broken into several times, but I don't keep anything remotely valuable in it. Bugs are going to be an issue in almost all old buildings, usually house centipedes if it matters, harmless and they keep other things at bay, but they freak some people out. When I brought these issues up with the leasing office, they were incredibly rude. When it snowed or iced, Lockefield would not clear the lots. The second loss occurred because the heat was not fixed correctly the first time. My neighbors found mushrooms growing from the carpets and Lockefield refused to do anything.

Lockefield initially refused install new carpet and fix the walls even though there was obvious mold growing from them. It ruined everything we owned and ruined the walls, ceiling, and carpet within the apartment. My apartment was flooded due to a broken washer machine upstairs. I was told that this was simply a product of living downtown. The front door was broken and Lockefield did not fix it for days. My upstairs neighbor's apartment was broken into twice. People attempted to burglarize my apartment three times- once while my wife was in the apartment. I lived in Lockefield Gardens from 2010-2013. I don’t have a patio, but I live on the ground floor of the other buildings and I have never felt unsafe having street-level windows.Īs others have said, it’s not perfect, but it’s the best price for this location you’re gonna find and it’s livable. I have never felt unsafe in Lockefield or the surrounding block or so (around the river is a different story).

  • safety - I’m a young woman who lives alone and walks into downtown for work at 5am.
  • I don’t own a car and the tow trucks only seem to check if you have a parking pass, not if your car matches the description of the parking pass, so if it’s overnight, I just give them my pass.
  • parking - I only ever see tow trucks out before dawn, so I normally don’t pay for guest parking unless it’s overnight.
  • It’s annoying, but if you call and nag, I’ve always had my problems fixed same day. Oh, they should have done that already, no idea what’s taking them so long. Oh, they must have misplaced the request. A week after I put in a request online, I called the office. I had something annoying, but small break about a month ago.
  • maintenance - soooooo slow and they constantly miss maintenance requests.
  • It doesn’t actually send an alert, it’s just a deterrent.
